Meet Karen

Hi, I’m Karen and I am a licensed Social Worker in Regina, Saskatchewan.  I have been a registered private practitioner since 2007 with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers, and a practicing Social Worker since 1987.

I specialize in relationships, adolescents, adults, seniors, families and groups. For nearly 30 years I have gained valuable experience working in the fields of mental health, addictions and medical rehabilitation with a neurological emphasis.  Having worked with a wide variety of individuals, ranging in ages  from 4-90 years old.  My background experience includes  working with a variety of issues  such as: depression, anxiety, grief/loss, adjustment related to loss, trauma, neurological based illness, chronic pain, addictions/codependency and women’s issues.

What makes me different is that I work with you to develop a plan to align your life with your expectations.  I will assist you in developing customized tools and strategies to transform your life to create real and lasting change.

My approach is an eclectic approach to therapy, as I get to know you and what you want to accomplish, I design a personalized model to work with you.

I have been trained in a number of modalities, such as Cognitive-Behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy imagery in healing, re-decision therapy, gestalt principles, rational-emotive and reality therapy. My goal is to draw from my professional training to create an individualized treatment approach specifically for you.
